Specialist interest in hip and knee arthritis, sports injuries and orthopaedic oncology.

Mr. O'Toole graduated from UCD in 1996 and did his Internship in St. Vincent's Hospital.  He completed his basic surgical training in St. Vincent's Hospital 1997-1999 and then completed his higher surgical orthopaedic training on the national orthopaedic training scheme 1999-2004.

He achieved his FRCS (Tr & Orth) exit examination in 2003 before undertaking further fellowship training in the Mater Hospital, Sydney, Australia and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

He returned to Ireland in 2006 and commenced practice as a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon in St. Vincent's University Hospital and Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital.
