Wellington Eye Clinic

The Wellington Eye Clinic is Ireland's leading Cataract and Refractive Clinic having introduced refractive surgery to Ireland. The Clinic relocated from Ballsbridge to the Beacon Medical Campus in December 2006.

The Clinic provides all types of refractive surgery including LASIK, LASEK, PRK and CK (Conductive Keratoplasty) on site and Phakic Lens Implants, Clear Lens Extraction and Cataract Extraction with Intra-ocular lens implants in the Beacon Hospital next door.

All types of implants are used including toric IOL's and multifocal IOL's. The Clinic is also the only provider of Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking for keratoconus in Ireland.

The Clinic's surgeons have performed more than 25000 refractive procedures in the past 10 years and hence boast some of the most experienced refractive surgeons in Europe.

The Clinic was awarded the prestigious "Wavelight Global Ambassador Award" for 2006 being recognized as one of the leading refractive clinics world-wide.

The Wellington Eye Clinic has 4 Consultant Ophthalmologists (Mr Arthur Cummings, Mr Richard Corkin, Dr Paul Kenna & Dr Louise O'Toole) as well as 4 full-time optometrists (Mr Declan Hovenden, Ms Ann-Marie Masterson, Ms Avril Barnes & Ms Clare Maguire). The Clinic provides a full ophthalmological service including glaucoma, medical retina, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatric and contact lens services.
