Éilís is a consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon engaged in full-time private practice. She obtained her medical degree from UCD in 2001, graduating with honours in every subject. Following basic surgical training, she undertook a Masters in surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, investigating the healing of problematic skin wounds. Having completed her higher specialist training in plastic surgery in Ireland, she undertook fellowships in reconstructive cosmetic surgery and the therapeutic use of medical lasers, in the UK. Thereafter, she was awarded the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) travelling fellowship, which facilitated six months spent in the Netherlands and London as the Dutch Association for Facial Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (DAFPRS) international fellow. She is enrolled on the Specialist Register in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in Ireland and the UK, and is an active member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons and the British Medical Laser Association.
Ms Fitzgerald’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of aesthetic and cosmetic surgery, including procedures to the body, breast, and face. She also offers non-surgical and minimally-invasive facial aesthetic treatments. Additionally, she provides skin surgery, breast reconstruction, and hand surgery services. She has a sub-specialist interest in scar management and laser surgery.
Whether you attend for an aesthetic, reconstructive, or hand surgery procedure, the approach adopted by Éilís does not vary. She is always aware of the great trust that is placed in her when someone chooses her as their surgeon, and repays this by treating them with the respect, honesty, and professionalism that they deserve. She and her team are committed to supporting you throughout your treatment journey, from the first consultation, during the decision-making process, throughout your recovery, and beyond. The benchmark Éilís sets herself is to provide the level of care and service that she would be delighted to receive if she were the patient.
When it comes to cosmetic procedures, proportion, balance, and a natural-looking appearance are Éilís’s top priorities. With the blurring of the lines between the beauty and aesthetic industries, it can be easy to forget that cosmetic procedures are still, first and foremost, medical procedures. Her moral and ethical responsibility as a doctor is one that she takes very seriously, and she is passionate about providing proper medical care, no matter what the treatment. Éilís has undergone intensive training over many years in the procedures she performs, as she believes that her patients deserve nothing less. She will not perform a treatment she does not believe in. She will never put you under pressure to make a decision, nor will she offer any incentive that might cloud your better judgement. She will always tailor the treatment plan to you, your body, and your lifestyle. She always encourages her patients to consider their decision to have surgery in the context of their lifestyle and wellness as a whole. Having completed a Masters in sports and exercise medicine,Éilís has a unique insight into how these factors contribute to body image, mental and physical health. Her top priority is patient satisfaction, and producing results that both she and her patients can be proud of.
