The Wellington Eye Clinic, established in 1980, is Ireland’s leading Cataract and Refractive Clinic having introduced refractive surgery to Ireland.
The Clinic relocated from Ballsbridge to the Beacon Medical Campus in December 2006.
The Clinic provides all types of refractive surgery including LASIK, LASEK, PRK and CK (Conductive Keratoplasty) on site and Phakic Lens Implants, Clear Lens Extraction, and KAMRA inlays.
The clinic also specialises in Cataract Extraction with Intra-ocular lens implants in the UPMC Beacon Hospital next door.
All types of implants are used including toric IOL’s and multifocal IOL’s. The Clinic was also the first provider of Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking for keratoconus in Ireland.
The Clinic’s surgeons have performed more than 40,000 refractive procedures in the past 10 years and hence boast some of the most experienced refractive surgeons in Europe.
The Clinic was awarded the prestigious “Wavelight Global Ambassador Award” for 2006 being recognized as one of the leading refractive clinics world-wide.
